Consulate General of India, Houston commemorated the 125th Birth Anniversary of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on 16 April, 2016 in the Consulate General of India, Houston. The event was attended by members of Dr. Ambedkar International Mission Inc., Houston, USA, members of the Indian community and Consulate officials.
The programme entailed speeches on the life and contributions of Dr. Ambedkar by Consul, Mrs. Deepti Ganji, Consulate General of India in Houston; Mr. Rajkumar Kamble, Founder, Dr. Amedkar International Mission Inc. USA and Prominent members of the community - Dr. Velu Annamalai and Mr. Prakash Rao. It was announced on this occasion by Mr. Rajkumar Kamble that Dr. Ambedkar International Mission Inc. USA has secured a small piece of land to build "Dr. Ambedkar International Mission Center" in Houston. The event concluded with networking and lunch at the Consulate.
