Aero geophysical Surveys over Obvious Geological Potential (OGP) areas of India

The Geological Survey of India (GSI) – http://www.portal.gsi.gov.in/portal/ - a Government of India institution and the world’s oldest geological survey agency has issued a tender to engage a Consultant for Preparation of Expression of Interest (EOI), Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR), Global Tender management and Supervision of the entire project, within the stipulated time of four years for Aero geophysical Surveys over Obvious Geological Potential areas of India.

The airborne geophysical surveys are to be done by using magnetic, gamma-ray spectrometric and time domain electromagnetic sensors.

The job constitutes the scope of work for the consultant for Aero geophysical Surveys over Obvious Geological Potential (OGP) areas of India covering an area of 5071000 sq. kms initially. GSI has identified this area as the OGP area - most suitable and conducive for ore formation and localization. OGP areas have litho assemblages, which are potential for precious, base metal, ferrous group, diamond etc. Potential prospects are located within the OGP. The survey will cover about 8013000 sq. kms in total in a subsequent stage.

The bid will be evaluated on the basis of 70% weightage in Technical bid and 30% weightage in Price bid making 100% for the total evaluation of the bid. The criteria for evaluating the technical bid to shortlist the bids of the consulting firms are as under:

Only those firms whose score will be equal to or more than 60% of 70 (i.e. 42 marks) will be considered eligible for opening of price bid.

Bidders who are not registered with DGS & D or with NSIC – institutions engaged in procuring of supplies to the Indian Government institutions - under single point registration for stores as per this Tender Enquiry, are required to furnish Earnest Money Deposit to the tune of INR 2,00,000/- (CAD 4100.00 approx.) at the office of Deputy DG, R.S.A.S., G.S.I., Bangalore in person or by post, on or before the tender closing date i.e. 15-10-2015, failing which, the offer will be ignored.
